History of Impact 922 Ministries

After serving as an Area Director with Miami Youth for Christ for 12 years, the Lord gave me a vision for training and equipping leaders working in urban communities. In 2002 we launched the Urban Training Network (UTN) as a ministry to train and equip urban leaders with a model of evangelism, discipleship and the empowerment of young people.

Over the years, the Lord has provided numerous opportunities, many of which went way beyond the initial vision of the ministry. These opportunities all led to the realization that we were no longer just “Urban,” or just providing “training,” or just a “network.”

In 2014, we changed the name of the organization to: “Impact 922 Ministries,” to convey the broader mission and scope of the ministry. The word “Impact,” is a generic word, but it relays our intentionality of impacting lives; and “922” is a reference to 1 Corinthians 9:22, which has been a foundational verse that we use in our training of leaders.

In this passage Paul says: “… I have become all things to all men, so that by ALL POSSIBLE MEANS I might save some.” By ALL possible means!

I am resolved more now than I have ever been, with the mission to reach and impact as many people with the Gospel, through speaking, training, mentoring and coaching, to equip, train and inspire others.

The new name and expanding vision, conveys that I am willing to go wherever the Lord leads, and do whatever it takes to reach people with the Gospel; see them discipled in their faith and empowered as leaders; and to inspire and equip other leaders to do the same.

We look forward to serving you, whether you need encouragement in your ministry, or solid training based on years of experience. We want to see your ministry grow and flourish as you reach young people with the Gospel and raise them up to be the leaders God has called them to be!
